Ry Cavanaugh writes, performs and drinks at local Cambridge/Somerville music clubs. The 1996 live acoustic compilation, "One Night in Cambridge", was produced by Ry and features both Faith Soloway and Sean (Jesus) Staples. Vinal Avenue String Band really brought Ry into the spotlight and he is sometimes recognized in certain parts of Somerville as "that guy who sings in that band with those other people". His new band, Maybe Baby, is a collaboration with Jennifer Kimball.
